A river flows slowly past as the rays of the morning sun pierces through the teak trees and shimmers on the water. This is Maya, a place to DISCOVER yourself. This 100-year-old heritage home is situated amidst a lush green canopy of teak, mangosteen, nutmeg, jackfruit and rambutan trees in Ayemanam.
Built in 1901 by an ancient Syrian Christian family of Kottayam, the house has witnessed generations of stories. The raised plinth, high-pitched clay-tiled roof, hand-carved teak columns ? nothing here was designed; it was grown, over generations.
